When the Circus Comes to Town
The exhibit features a rare Humpty Dumpty Circus, created by the Schoenhut Company of Philadelphia, circa 1903. The original set consisted of a clown, a chair, and a ladder. However, the clown was fully jointed and this simple set could be posed in numerous ways, limited only by a child’s imagination. Also on display are the hand-carved circus miniatures created by Ron Warren. Mr. Warren grew up in Jersey Shore and lived near the New York Central Railroad offices. One…

Harley-Davidson vs. Indian Wars, a Motorcycle Exhibit
The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will be featuring approximately twenty-five vintage motorcycles from a private collection as its summer exhibit, now through Sunday, August 2, 2020. The exhibit, entitled “Harley-Davidson vs. Indian Wars”, will include a rare Cleveland bike, circa 1920, as well as the 1941 Indian (pictured), nicknamed the ‘Duesenberg of Motorcycles’. Taber Museum Lecture Series: Anecdotes to Anecdotes
After a long hiatus, the Taber Museum is resuming its lecture series in the Community Room of the museum. This year’s Lecture Series focuses on the topic ‘Made in Pennsylvania’ and what could be more indigenous to the Commonwealth than the Susquehanna River. The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society is pleased to present Tera Bush on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 2pm. All aboard for the Annual Whistle Stop Train Show! This Williamsport tradition has been going on since 1979 and is a full service train show.
