Williamsport Symphony Orchestra- Rachmaninov & Beethoven: Odes to Joy

This concert celebrates the birthday of Sergei Rachmaninov and features his famous “Paganini Variations” as well as Beethoven’s monumental “Symphony No. 9” with local choirs: Lycoming College, Bucknell Choir, and Williamsport Chamber Choir. It offers a grand and uplifting experience with the powerful sound of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” Symphony and the virtuosic piano playing of Rachmaninov’s “Paganini Variations.” You will be swept away by the grandeur and passion of classical music, as well as the festive atmosphere of the “Happy Birthday Rachmaninov” celebration. Christopher Guzman, an international performing artist, is our guest pianist.
