Chad Andrews’ silicone polymer drawing installations are placed in the 2nd-floor corridors of building 10. The works will be open during the Williamsport’s First Friday in September. The Weight of Delicacy is the continuation of silicone installations from his Heavy Construction / Delicate Destruction series. The imagery of earthmoving equipment is enhanced by the construction material (silicone) in which they are made from. The visually heavy imagery appears to float delicately off the wall. This visual conflict is compounded by the knowledge that these highly labor-intensive installations are simply thrown away at the end of the show.
