Just got back from a weekend full of trails, great food, and small-town gems in Lycoming County, PA – and we already want to go back.

We stayed downtown at the Hampton Inn (highly recommend if you like being able to walk everywhere) and kicked things off with Williamsport’s First Friday – a vibrant street festival packed with live music, food trucks, and 100+ vendors. DCI (Drum Corps International) performed that same weekend, and let’s just say: sunset + stadium + music = magic.

But that was just the start.

The rest of the weekend was all about great coffee, scenic walks, good food, and spots that surprised us in the best way. If you’re planning a visit to north-central PA, add these to your list 👇

🪑 Rust & Shine – A must for vintage lovers. Quirky, creative, and packed with everything from antique treasures to local drinks. It’s easy to lose track of time here.

☕️ Alabaster Coffee – The kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. House-roasted coffee, cozy seating, and the best blueberry muffin we’ve had in a while.

🌾 Growers Market – Grab a breakfast eggroll and stroll among all the vendors. Local produce, fresh-cut flowers, and a great Saturday morning vibe.

🌻 Today Farm & Market – Scenic and thoughtful. Regenerative farming, a market full of meats and produce, sunflowers in bloom, and even a few beers on tap. Feels like a glimpse of what food systems should look like. Their 5th Annual Sunflower Festival is coming up this weekend and will be worth the trip!

🌊 Susquehanna River Walk – Flat and peaceful. Start your morning here for big-sky views and a slow, scenic walk along the river.

🥾 Loyalsock State Forest – Endless options. Whether you’re chasing waterfalls or climbing to mountain overlooks, this is where the real adventure kicks in.

🍽️ Barrel 135 – We came for dinner and stayed for conversation. The karaage udon is a must – spicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The owner and chef are an amazing duo serving some of the best food in the city.

🥁 Drum Corps International – Unreal talent in an unforgettable setting. Millionaire Stadium at sunset? Doesn’t get better.

If you’re looking for a weekend with nature, flavor, and local charm?
Lycoming’s got you.
