Outdoor Adventures
Channel your inner adventurer and take to the trails in Lycoming County. Take a stab at Old Loggers Path or Jacoby Falls; grab your bikes and head to the Pine Creek Rail Trail for a beautiful ride; looking for gorgeous vistas, then spend the day at Rider Park. Fishing any of our waterways is a fabulous way to enjoy the greater outdoors, so cast your reels and find the next best catch. Kayak or canoe at Little Pine State Park or Rose Valley Lake, the fresh air and splendid scenery will rejuvenate you. Fall and winter are abundant with activities from hunting in our game lands to cross country skiing our trails.
Visit Downtown
Join us in Pine Square for live music, festivals and special events. Seasonal First Fridays in downtown Williamsport are a fun family friendly time to explore the arts, shoppes and dining options. Saturday mornings, make sure to check out the Farmers Market for fresh farm goods. Located in heart of downtown is the Lycoming County Visitors Center, stop by for guidance from our staff to enhance your downtown experience. See a performance at the beautiful Community Arts Center or spend some time at Kaos Fun Zone.

Learn Our Rich History
Delve into Lycoming County’s rich lumber history with a stroll down Millionaires’ Row located in Williamsport’s Historic District. Plan a visit to the Taber Museum to see the Shempp Model Train Exhibit and learn all about Williamsport’s rich lumber history. Learn more about our lumber history with a relaxing ride along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat. Travel to Muncy and walk the Heritage Park Nature Trail to learn how Muncy was once a bustling hub of the 1800s West Branch Canal industry. Visit Jersey Shore and find out about the Tiadaghton Elm. Lycoming County has a proud past and an exciting future.
Baseball
Baseball is our favorite pastime. Williamsport is best known throughout the world as the Home of Little League®Baseball. Each August all eyes of the world turn to Williamsport to watch the Little League® Baseball World Series where 20 teams (10 American and 10 International) vie for the title of Little League® World Champions. Little League® was founded in Williamsport in 1939 by Carl Stotz and has grown into the world’s largest youth organized sports organization. Make sure you stop at the World of Little League Museum to learn all about Little League’s history and follow the Bases Loaded statue trail throughout Williamsport for fabulous photo ops. Come to the Grand Slam Parade to start the Little League® Baseball World Series and be sure to stay for Williamsport Welcomes the World block party event before championship weekend.
You can also catch a game of the Williamsport Crosscutters at Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field while visiting Lycoming County. The Williamsport Crosscutters are part of the MLB Draft League.
