DESCRIPTION:Susquehanna Film Festival (SFF) will screen 33 local\, national and international films over three days. The festival will showcase a multi-genre selection of feature\, short\, documentary and animated films\, with a special emphasis on works produced in Pennsylvania. As an added bonus that’s sure to please film fans\, many of the SFF’s screening selections are yet-to-be released films\, making their exclusive North American premiere\, which means they have never been seen in movie theaters or streamed on U.S. platforms. DESCRIPTION:The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will be hosting a lecture by Amanda Owen on Sunday\, September 21\, 2025 at 2pm. Amanda Owen is the Executive Director of the Justice Bell Foundation\, a nonprofit organization located in Ardmore\, in Delaware County. “Our mission is to educate\, inspire and mobilize current and future voters. As part of our mission\, we present an inspiring Pennsylvania story about the Justice Bell\, an icon of the women’s suffrage movement\, to the public.” The Justice Bell traveled through Lycoming County August 11 and 12\, 1915\, promoting women’s voting rights. \nThe lecture\, held in the Community Room of the museum\, is free and open to the public. The program is sponsored by Catherine Burns Insurance Agency\, Muncy and co-sponsored by historian Mary Sieminski and the James V. Brown Library.   During the afternoon\, the 19-minute documentary\, Finding Justice: The Untold Story of Women’s Fight for the Vote will be shown.

DESCRIPTION:The event will begin with the Vintage Gatherers Quilters presenting comforting quilts to veterans of World War II\, the Korean War\, the Vietnam Era\, and the War on Terrorism.  Immediately following the quilt presentation\, Pat Jordan will perform her dramatic portrayal of Rosie the Riveter\, homefront hero of World War II.  Pat Jordan’s Rosie the Riveter: Home Front Hero of WWII is an entertaining and highly researched one-woman play about the multitude of ‘Rosies’ who worked on the homefront during the Second World War.
